Life is Good!

We're still enjoying our "winter" home here in San Antonio. We've had very little "winter" weather to speak of. We had a couple nights recently where the temps got down to 27 degrees but it warms up nicely to 65-75 during the day.

We recently took our daughter and grandchildren to the San Antonio Rodeo & Stock Show. The kids had a great afternoon as we walked through the horse and cow barns, got to ride a real horse, visited the petting zoo, played at Kid's Corral and rode the train at the midway carnival area. We thought they would be worn out and not interested in the actual Rodeo by 7PM that night but we were wrong. They watched the entire 2 hr show -- bare back bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, team roping, calf roping, barrel racing and bull riding. What a fun day!

Another exciting day -- the coffee roaster arrives for our son-in-law's new business: The Brown Coffee Company! We've alreading tried a batch of Aaron's fresh roasted coffee beans and they're mighty good!

We drove down across the border at Eagle Pass, TX yesterday and walked around the town of Piedras Negras, Mexico hoping to find out information for our upcoming stay in Mexico. We did learn some bits of helpful information and will leave San Antonio on Sunday (2/19) for Saltillo, Mexico where we plan to spend about a month. We don't know yet what kind of communication we'll be able to have there but we hope to keep in touch!
