Deck Project

While Doug was rebuilding our bedroom slide (see next blog below), I worked on the deck cleaning/painting project. It took me 3 days but I got it done!

Bedroom Slide Repair

Is it supposed to slide out that far?!
We realized we had some problems with the bed slide sagging so Doug took the bed out and started investigating. We discovered the floor along the outside wall and outside corners was completely rotted! So we took the bed slide out of the RV and into the shop for repair. Doug built installed a new floor and sealed it all around (it wasn't sealed properly to begin with; hence, the reason for the floor deterioration).















While the slide was being repaired in the workshop, we duct-taped a tarp over the opening. Luckily, it didn't rain the entire week we had it like this! We slept with our bed mattress on our fold-out sofa in the living room during the interim.

Now it is ready to go back in with the help of our son's Bobcat...and it is better built than ever!

Celebrating on the Madam Carroll!

First, Doug checks to make sure Jordan is REALLY 21!

The Madam Carroll cruise boat on Lake Freeman in Monticello, IN has a dinner/dance cruise once a month during the summer. The live band, Tonebones, always plays great music to dance to. On this particular cruise, we were all celebrating Jordan Mulligan's 21st birthday. Jordan has worked for our son Dallas for over a year now and has been one of the best employees he's ever had. At our table was myself, Doug, sis Tara and hubby Wayne, Dallas and his girlfriend Christy, Kristen & Ross Birge (Jordan's sis) and Jordan's girlfriend Amanda. The Sportsman Restaurant always caters the meal which is wonderfully delicious. We all had a great time, eating, toasting & dancing!
