Corpus Christi, Enchanted Rock & Luckenbach!

Jenni & Dottie came to San Antonio for a weekend visit and boy, did we pack lots into the weekend! The weather was beautiful, warm & sunny -- great for our planned outdoor activities! We spent a day down in Corpus Christi and walked the beach, ate seafood at Castaways and rode the ferry.


We hiked a trail at Government Canyon, had mexican & margaritas at Pico de Gallo, did the "Riverwalk", and had steak at Willies Grill & Ice House -- all in San Antonio. On Sunday, the girls sang with us & the Celebration Singers at Travis Park UMC and Jenni was featured as guest soloist with "Because of Who You Are".




Monday we drove up to Fredericksburg (where we had lunch at The Brewing Co.) and hiked up to the top of Enchanted Rock! Then we HAD to stop and show them Luckenbach!





We always have a great time together!

Celebrations!

Doug celebrated (?!) his 59th birthday on January 26th at the Brown Coffee Co. Roasterie with family and friends. Jenee baked a chocolate cake & decorated with it with "tools"!



On February 8th, my parents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary! CONGRATULATIONS Mom and Dad -- we LOVE you!!

This past weekend we celebrated visiting with our good friends, Fred & Faye Merkel, in Katy, TX. Fred drove us down to Galveston Friday where we boarded the Ferry and rode across the bay. He also took us to Kemah Boardwalk and we rode to the top of the tower! It sure was great to spend some time with our dear friends!



Sunday we celebrated with Noel and the rest of the "Celebration Singers" from Travis Park UMC. Noel is leaving San Antonio to move to Savannah, GA with her new husband and three daughters. We will miss her AND her beautiful voice!
