Thanksgiving in Texas

We're here in San Antonio, TX at the Admiralty RV Resort. It's hard to believe it's the Thanksgiving season and Christmas is just around the corner with the clear blue skies, sunshine and 80 degrees but we're certainly not complaining! We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving feast with the Blanco family. We plan to spend some time here and hope to get over to Arizona and down to Mexico in the next few months.

It looks as though we will spend winter months in Texas with our daughter and family: Aaron, Jenee, Caelum and Aden.... and summer months in Indiana with our son, Dallas and family.

This way, we get to spend special times together with our kids and grandkids. In the months in between, we will be traveling and visiting other family and friends.

We'll be putting our Christmas letter out here with a brief 1st retirement year "in review" in the next few weeks so check back later!

Mr. & Mrs. Darrin Hathaway

Darrin Hathaway and Shannon Murray were married this afternoon barefoot on the beach at the Sandbar Restaurant on Anna Maria Island, Florida. It was a beautiful evening as the sun went down over the water. Friends and family celebrated dinner while entertained with live island music and later dancing to the bride and groom's favorite pop tunes.

CONGRATULATIONS
Darrin & Shannon!

Ah, the sun, the sand, the BEACH!

Ah, the sun, the sand, the BEACH!

We arrived in Sarasota, Florida on Saturday, November 5th after 5 days and 1500+ miles! Like our theme song “On the Road Again” says… we’re going places that we’ve never been before, and seeing things that we may never see again! We’re at Sun-N-Fun RV Resort – a huge complex with lots of activities for everyone. Yesterday we drove to St. Armand Circle and across the Ringling Causeway to Lido Beach. We walked the beach a good distance – great exercise for both of us, but especially for Doug in his recovery as he gains more strength each day. The sun and water is good therapy! We then drove over to Anna Maria Island (where our nephew will be married next week) and walked the historic pier at Bridge Street.

We will stay here for two weeks then head west to Texas. See you later!
